Hi all, As most of you know, we have had some discussion recently about changing the way we do things and evolving to make events more fun and our community stronger. TBE Council have spent hours reviewing your comments and debating the best way to continue and I am pleased to announce the plan! We have come up with a solution that will not be a major shock to the system for current members. We are going to become a country/community clan – the most important change is that TBE will now be opened up so that people in other clans can join and take part in our events while remaining in their current clan. This of course is not a one way process and will mean that current TBE members will also have the freedom to join other clans while remaining in TBE and attending our wide range of fun, organised events. TBE is an active clan with one of the best communitys in the Runescape clan world, we have loads of experience in organising and running events and are keen to help our members have fun/make money. Country clan does not necessarily mean you have to be British to be a member – we are happy to accept members who are not British into our community as long as you can make events during the British timezone (Most events held around 8pm gmt). The next major change covers warring, we are going to stop having wars as a main clan wide event. “oh no, moan moan moan” I hear some of you current members saying. Don’t worry, not only will you have the freedom to join a warring clan as well as staying TBE but also we are looking into running a mini-warring team for those of you who do not have the time to commit to a warring clan or those of you who want to do all three! We plan to set up a separate runehead member list for all those interested in mini wars meaning you will have an active team who all love warring. It may start off as 10v10 wars but if there is enough interest it could grow to be bigger than the wars we were having before the changes! Would also mean people who have no interest in warring or warring for this team are not forced to go against their will, making a happier community all round. We will also be running lots of our popular mini pks and ep events. Obviously if you are in another clan and they have a war or event then that clan has priority over the TBE events. The fact that more people will be able to join will mean that this should not be a problem and event attendance will not slip as a result. Calendar changes – We will no longer have official events on Saturday and Sunday nights as this is warring clans main time for events, if a clan member or leader wishes to run one spare of the moment, and there are people willing to go, they are free to do so and it will count towards activity points if more than 5 TBE members attend (remember to take a screenie). We will also be running events Saturday and Sunday daytimes including money making or mass training events. We are no longer going to use activity points and are simply going to say that to stay in TBE you need 4 events per month minimum. This will mean that we can get rid of those who have disappeared off the face of the Earth. It will also mean that we are flexible so that those in other clans do not struggle to contribute to TBE events. The application form has been greatly simplified as the easier it is to fill in then more people will bother to do so. We still have a 50 word question to make sure people can write and are able to communicate in text plus a few of the old questions but we have simplified it a lot. Rules have been made clear and simplified, plus irrelevant ones removed. The shorter the rules then the easier they are for members to read, remember and abide by. The dot/vagrants/boot disciplinary procedures will remain so that we can effectively deal with members going out of their way to upset the balance. We know that some people may join to cause trouble although most applicants will be able to join without causing problems we must consider those who have caused trouble in the past carefully. If someone has a dodgy past with TBE or has caused some kind of disruption in the past it will go to council vote. If two or more members of the council object to the applicant rejoining AND HAVE A VALID REASON then the app will be declined. Changes to elite mentors – Mentors ranks will be replaced with recognition of your time in TBE service. After 6 months of TBE service you will gain the rank of “master elite”. 1 years service and you become “champion elite”. 2 years “veteran elite”. 3 years “legendary elite”. We may even be able to backdate this using join topics and leaving topics to work out time in TBE. I know above there are a lot of changes to take in and we will try to make the transition as seemless as we can. There will be some things that may not go as well as we think and some things that may need a bit of fine tuning to get right. If we all work hard as a team then I’m sure we can achieve our goals and I am asking that you all try your best to help us implement the changes smoothly. If your not sure about the changes or have any questions then don’t be afraid to speak up and let us know – I will also hold a Q&A session on teamspeak to run through it this week. OK WELL, I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS 1) I LIVE FOR MENTORING, THE RANKS DONT SEEM LIKE I HAVE A PART IN THE COMMUNITY ANYMORE? 2) EXPLAIN THESE NEW RANKS ? 3) SURELY WE WONT BE ACTIVE IF WE ONLY REQUIRE 4 EVENTS PER MONTH 4) EP AND PK EVENTS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO ARE ON THE WARRING RUNEHEAD? |

The senior members will be used to help run events and help any new guys that come into the clan  2) EXPLAIN THESE NEW RANKS ? To give a reward to long serving/senior members - if we have a warring team their expirience could be used to help. 3) SURELY WE WONT BE ACTIVE IF WE ONLY REQUIRE 4 EVENTS PER MONTH The point in this is to make it easier for people in other clans to get activity, and it will also remove the really inactive members. 4) EP AND PK EVENTS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO ARE ON THE WARRING RUNEHEAD? No. They will be for everyone who wnats to attend. |

Chaos, just because you don't have an "official" Mentor rank shouldn't stand in the way of you helping new FA's and Elites, It's just that mentoring was there for war preparation and now that warring is not part of the mandatory TBE requirements, there's no need to be a mentor, but you can still help out and your service and help will be recognised. |

ok thx for clearing that up, but if mentors get different ranks, (question 2), due to activity in tbe, then would we be given different jobs? what sort of jobs would we actually be given to do? i dont see these ranks to be important, as we have other ranks to do the necessary jobs in the clan so it can be successful. change my view also how does 4 events per month get rid of inactive members? surely that is increasing the rate of inactivity in the clan |

Question 1 How are we going to keep track of the most active? If points are no longer applicable and we manage 4 events a month requirement - how would you work out the most active if more than 3 people attend every event a month, as in have the full activity when we tally up the event activity after each event? |

We aren't sure if we are going to make a trial period for people applying. If this does happen, the people who get "master elite" + will most likely be given the job of "shadowing" the member for a bit. Once again ,we aren't sure if we will be doing this or not. The ranks, right now, are to show that you stand out from other members, basically to show you are a long standing member. We could be giving more "status" to these ranks later on, as said. 4 events a month is a minimum, because in a county/community clan you only want activity to be a minimal to show that people are at least alive in the clan. You don't need heavy activity in clans like these now. Also, Right now with our activity system you could technically get away with attending 4 events. 1 war 3 pk trips and that is 25 points. If we find that it is too minimal later on, we could change it. This is all new to council as well as you, everything can be changed. Edited by Murkynight, 3 Nov 2009, 07:14 PM.
