GENERAL RULES Spoiler: click to toggle 1 -MUST obey all Jagex rules. 2 -MUST obey the leaders/councils orders. 3 -NO swearing. 4 -NO backstabbing. 5 -NO members are to freely PJ DM's. 6 -Do NOT Scam or hack other players in any way. A full list of our rules are here Joining Clan Chat Spoiler: click to toggle Joining Eoc CC After your application has been accepted you will need to be invited in to cc, providing your have not been invited already. To be invited you will need to ask in clan chat for someone of high enough clan rank to invite you. Joining TBE07 CC Since Jagex relaunched an earlier version of Runescape from 2007 we have been developing a loyal and hardcore following. If you wish to be part of our 07 team you will first need to register your interest here. Our dedicated 2007 cc is called TBECC. Please feel free to join TBECC as a guest but you will need to contact a leader to be ranked in this chat. PVM Event CC For PVM (Player verses Monster or Boss Hunting) events we use the friends chat of the leader taking the event. As a new member you will need to be added to this FC. Please contact a leader to be added or speak to a member of the events team at event mass. For further information please read the Event Handbook Clan Chat Ranks and Promotions Spoiler: click to toggle ![]() Ranks above General are used by the members who help keep TBE running. If you would like to apply for one of these positions keep an eye on forums. We are always on the lookout for helpful people. Clan Chat Conduct As you have already read we are a community clan and we wish to keep our clan chat as well as IRC chat open and friendly to all members. Our clan’s chat rules are here. As a community of like minded players we encourage each member to be responsible for what they post in chat as well as saying to other clan members that they are uncomfortable with what has been posted. Our policy is shown in full below: Clan Chat Swearing Policy Dear Members, Our clan is all about you. Thank you for being so committed over the years and welcome to those more recent to the clan and hope you already feel part of our family. The great community atmosphere of TBE is what has kept the clan great through a number of clan changes and is why TBE are now fully focused on being a community clan. This message is to encourage everyone in the clan to make the communication channels such as IRC, team speak, forums and in-game CC in particular, a safe, friendly, mature, positive and wholesome place to be for teenagers and adults alike. This message is also an instruction to all members - regardless of rank - that you have the authority to ask people to change the subject or stop swearing if it starts to become borderline inappropriate. The channels should be moderated as a culture; all of us creating together a positive atmosphere, rather than one of two "policeman" moderating. As everyone is encouraged to moderate the environment, it should be noted that if the individual causing offense does not respond positively to the moderating member, that member should PM a leader. If a leader is not around, he should screenie the offense and response and forum-PM it to a leader. For clarification directive swearing, racial abuse, harassment pertaining to a persons religion, sexuality, age, education, weight or any kind of bullying is not acceptable. Negative talk "directed at a person" is not tolerated. (This chat should be screenshot and passed to a leader for consideration of a dot/ban) If at all possible don't swear at all. This means that you won't offend anyone We won't be draconian in moderating swearing and one-off swearing should be ignored, unless it particularly upsets you. However, continuous swearing or offensive language should be warned about in the friendliest way possible and continuous ignorance of other peoples concerns should be screenshot for leadership consideration likely leading to a dot/ban. Borderline offensive swearing can be offensive to some people, so be careful. The general rule is that if someone is upset with what you've said, respond appropriately; apologise, and tone it down. An exhaustive list of words could be created as a guideline, but it would be preferable to use your own discernment as to what creates a great positive environment. If you can't get your head around this, think about what's appropriate language in a workplace or school classroom. Thanks for creating a great atmosphere and let's keep it that way! Thank you all for your consideration. If there is something which you feel should not have been mentioned in cc please post it here: with a screenshot if at all possible. Citadel Spoiler: click to toggle We are an active clan with our own clan citadel. The citadel is Tier 7 with all plots Tier 7 as well. All Tier 7 means is as of this time it is the highest Tier available. We also have our own clan avatars but more about them below. As a new member you will need to get a clan cape and vex, this mini map of the clan camp shows where: Spoiler: click to toggle ![]() These can be picked up from the clan camp south of Falador and north west of Draynor. Also at clan camp is the citadel portal – the only way to get to citadel. There are a number of ways to get to the citadel portal, these are: Clan Vex – Wield the vex and right click on it then choose teleport. Explorer Ring – Right click and choose cabbage port. From there run west to portal. Draynor Loadstone – Run west to portal. Falador Teleport – Run south Balloon Transport to Crafting Guild – 10 oak logs after unlocking the route Citadel itself Once at our citadel the easiest way to move around is to open the citadel map, choose where u want to go and click. This is a map of our citadel: Spoiler: click to toggle ![]() Some of the main areas in our citadel are: 1)Keep. This building holds a banker plus alter (through the main door then east), meeting rooms, dance floor, theatre and quartermaster (through the main door then west). 2)Battlefield. This is where we can hold clan/inter clan fights as well as tangle races etc. There is also bank access at this location. 3)Town Square. This is where our avatars stay when they are not out. Should you wish to activate your weekly buff then this is a good place to find one. Simply right click on an avatar and choose option 2 – activate weekly buff. A weekly buff costs 300 orts and lasts for 168 hours. After you have gathered a few resources you will receive a message in your chat box saying that you have earned a Clan Ring. To collect your clan ring go to the Keep and speak to the quartermaster. He will give you an uncharged clan ring. Next choose a citadel plot which relates to the skill you wish to train on the surface, for example, Mining. Go to the mining plot, right click on your uncharged clan ring and it will be charged with bonus xp in that skill. There are a few things to note about the clan ring: •Once it has been charged on one plot it cannot be changed •There are some items which the clan ring will stack with and some which it will not. For a full list please click here Once you have reached the maximum number of resources you can gather for the week (currently 2700 resources for our Tier 7 citadel) you will be awarded 2 points for posting a capped screenshot on our forums the scroll down and the week with the highest number is the current week. N.B. You can only use 10% of your total cap on the summoning plot. Charging the clan ring on the summoning plot give very little bonus xp so is unadvised unless you have no need for any xp from the other plots Anagogic Orts Anagogic orts are gained by killing monsters or skilling. 300 are used to benefit from Clan Avatar buffs. A maximum of 200 orts can be picked up each day, regardless of means, with the timer resetting at midnight UTC. These can be collected while working at the citadel as well as on the surface. On a side not it is also possible to gather strange rocks from citadel skilling as well ![]() Clan Avatars At present we have 3 clan avatars which give members who have activated their weekly buff (by using 300 orts on them) various bonuses. These can range for health boosts at PvM events to a skilling bonus on the same world as the avatar. At present only members of a certain rank can access our avatars but Jagex is looking @ changing this. 'Leaders & admins will try to get avvys out as much as they can - please try to understand this will not always be possible.' TeamSpeak 3 Spoiler: click to toggle How to get started with TeamSpeak 3 For those of you who don't know what teamspeak is or what its used for here is a quick overview and guide: Teamspeak is a voice communication tool so we can organise events better and chat to each other while doing them, its like a massive phone conversation with lots of people at once. Firstly you need to download some software to get on there and you can download it from here: Teamspeak 3 client download Most of you will need to click the Windows Client 32-bit.... Once you have downloaded it you then need to install it as you would any program, this is easy enough. The last part is to connect to the TBE teamspeak server. Click "connections" and then "connect". Address: ts.britishelites.com:9987 Nickname: YOUR NAME Password: There is no password at the moment so leave the box blank. Once you have done that you should be able to connect and speak to the other people on there. Congratulations! You can now use TeamSpeak If you are new and have any questions on the above then please let any of the leaders know either via forums or IRC Events Spoiler: click to toggle As a community clan we run an event every night. These events range from Member Spotlight Events, to Citadel Skill events and PVM events. There are two main ways of finding out what events will be running, these will depend if you are using an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) or a web browser to gather the information. IRC The two most popular IRC programs used by the clan are Swiftkit IRC or MIRC. Once you have downloaded and got these programs going, the commands needed are: !event = this gives information on what event(s) will be running on that specific day !eventto = this give details on what event(s) are running on that specific and following day !eventlist = this will show the full event calendar for the current calendar week. !site = this will give you a web link to our forums, you will need to log in then click on the Calendar link on the main bar. Web Browser Load our forum page http://forums.britishelites.com and click on Calendar which gives a breakdown of all events for a full calendar month. You will need to be logged in to the forums. Weekend Skilling Competitions Every weekend we run a competition on a different skill. These start at 9.00pm on a Friday night and run until 9.00pm on Sunday night. Each competition there will be different levels of xp needed to gain an activity point. There is one activity point gained for getting the lower xp level, two points for doubling the lower level and three activity points should for gathering the greatest xp in the competition. Should you win the competition you will also be able to choose an event for the following Tuesday. In the breakdown there will be a link to the tracker we use to find out who has gained what xp. Please check that you have been added to the tracker , if your name is not on the track you will need to contact the leader who set the competition up to add you. For all details and clan rules with regards to events please click here Screenshots Spoiler: click to toggle There are a number of different means of adding a screenshot to our forums, these include Swiftkit, imageshack and push. Whichever method you choose depends upon what you are happy with. Myself I tend to use Swiftkit as the means of uploading the screenshot forms part of the program. Swiftkit To take a screenshot using Swiftkit you can either press the 'prt sc' (print screen) button on your keyboard or press the 'Take Screenshot(PrintScreen) button on the menu bar. Once you have taken the screenshot you will need to upload it. If the screenshot you wish to upload is the last one you have taken you will need to go to View > Screenshot Options > Upload Last Taken Screenshot. Should the screenshot you need to upload was not the last one you took then you will need to got to View > Screenshot Viewer. This will open up a new window showing all your screenshots. Simply choose which one you need from the list on the left hand side, then click on the upload button on the top right. This will give you the links which you can use to place the screenshot in different areas. To place one on our forums you will need to click on the option highlighted in the example screenshot taken below: Spoiler: click to toggle ![]() PUUSH Another means of posting screenshots to our forums is using Puush. If you have this program running on your computer pressing Shift+Ctrl+4 will give you a large curser on screen. Click and drag it over the section you need to capture and release. Puush program will automatically give you a link to the image, all you need to do is paste it on our forums in its relevant area. Imageshack A very common means of uploading images to the internet is through Imageshack, many similar sites offer the same service but I'm going to give some information on this one. Once you have opened an account with imageshack (all information is on their site and only takes a few mins) you will need an image to upload. Once you have captured your image (use screenshot or prt sc button) you can edit it - should you wish using programs like PhotoShop or Paint. In order to make your image easier to find you should be save it to your desktop or images folder. Once you have it log in to your imageshack account and click on Upload Media tab. This will give you the option to find you file and upload it. A successful image upload will give you this information: Spoiler: click to toggle ![]() Then choose Forum Code, copy the code and paste it on our forums. If you need help posting your capped citadel screenshot to forums then a leader will be able to add this information to our forums to make sure you get your activity points. Activity monitor Spoiler: click to toggle Our activity monitor is the main way we know which members are active and which are inactive. The main ways of accessing this information is through our forums here and using the !active command in irc which will give the same link. You can check this page to make sure that your runescape name is the list at any time although it may take a few days to add your details to the list after joining. It is very important to keep an eye on the list if you enjoy changing your runescape characters name regularly. If you are late to an event or think that you might have missed event mass please check the screenshot taken at event to make sure you were on it. If you were missed off it please contact the person who took the screenshot to be added. If there is ever a problem with you see with the activity monitor the leaders who manage the list are Aces and Lord Damton, please feel free to contact them. Active vs Inactive Spoiler: click to toggle As an active member of the clan you will be give full access to all events as well as access to our clan forums and irc channel if you wish to take advantage of it. In order to stay active you will need to gain a minimum of 4 activity points per month. Failure to do so will result in you becoming an inactive clan member. Inactive clan members have access to our citadel but are ‘nubstriped’ in our clan chat. Access to members area of our forums is removed and you will not be able to attend our in-game events, both PVM and skilling. In order to return to active status you would need to put in a re-application, this would then be followed with a leaders vote. It is so much easier to stay active ![]() Taking time off Spoiler: click to toggle Should a member be away for an extended period of time then the should post an away post http://forums.britishelites.com/forum/7392/. Doing so will help to avoid becoming a nubstripe in cc and having to re-app. Vagrants Spoiler: click to toggle There are times when you see red and you let your fingers get carried away, if this happens you may be reprimanded. In TBE this is called becoming a Vagrant. There are three stages to this process, each stage gives you a dot. Please be aware that your conduct may result in you gaining more than one dot. 1 dot = A Warning You should be made aware that you have broken a clan rule and be discouraged from doing it again. 2 dots = Vagrant for a week You will be given a 7 day ban from events and the forums/#TBE IRC channel/Teamspeak 3 dots = Booted You will be thrown out of the clan with dishonour If this happens to you and you feel that you have been unfairly treated please contact your mentor or any leader. Thanks to all who helped
